The tour guide will brief you in details about the major place of the Kathmandu valley and we are also very much flexible to make changes on the itinerary or listen to your choices of the interested places inside the Kathmandu valley.

Here are the list of the places that you will explore through out the day:

    Kathmandu Durbar Square

Katmandu Durbar Square is a place shrouded in mysterious tales and rich history. The historic palace is named after the Hindu monkey God, Hanuman, and used to host the crowning ceremonies of the Kings of Nepal in its courtyard.

Among the preserved treasures are the statue of King Pratap Mall, the ancient Jagannath temple, the Taleju temple from 1549 AD, the stone statue of Kal Bhairav, the Big Bell and Big Drum, and the intriguing sight of Hindu Lord Shiva and Parvati peering from a window.

Don't miss the residence of the living Goddess Kumari, a virgin girl representing a deity, with its beautifully carved wooden balconies and window screens. Nearby, you'll find the remarkable Kasthamandap temple, believed to have been built from a single tree trunk, giving the city its name "Katmandu."

    Patan Durbar Square

Patan Durbar square is full of conspicuous legacy. This is one of the most visited localities in town. Krishna Mandir and Patan Durbar are situated on the periphery of Patan Durbar Square.

There is a special kind of ceremonial celebration on the occasion of ‘Krishna Asthami’ (the birthday of Lord Shree Krishna). It is the third largest city in Nepal after Kathmandu and Bhaktapur respectively.

This city is well-known for Newari culture and Jatra. This city is famous for ‘Matka kulfi’.  You can enjoy lip-smacking traditional Newari cuisines like Choila, Bara, Yomari, Samaya Baji, egg verities, and many more.

    Pashupatinath Temple

Pashupatinath temple stands almost 6 km east of Kathmandu. This is mostly visited as a religious site by Hindus. Temple alongside the Bagmati River is a flawless view.

In spite of being the temple of Lord Shiva Mahadev, Hindu deity people of any religion visit this temple once in their life. If you don’t attain ‘Evening Aarati’ after visiting Pashupati then it will be like overlooking dessert after a delicious meal.

Priests chanting Lord Shiva’s mantra during Aarati leave anyone spellbound. Sadhus with the ash-scrubbed body, Rudraksha garland, reciting shiva’s hymn welcomes anyone with any religion is the most pleasing scenario.

Pashupatinath Temple is encircled by other shrines. Shrines around Pashupatinath are Surya Narayan, Kritimukh Bhairav, Unmatta Bhairav, Budhanilkantha, Vasuki Nath, Hanuman shrine, 184 Shivalinga, and many more.

    Bouddhanath Stupa

Bouddhanath Stupa is one of the most imperative and unique structure stupas in the world. It is the second most divine monastery of Buddhists after Swayambhunath.

Though this is a Buddhist monument there is no religious boundary for visitors. It looks like Swayambhunath and is also called a small Swayambhunath. The picture-perfect eyes in the Stupa also known as ‘wisdom eyes’ indicate the omniscience of Lord Buddha.

Those eyes are in the shade of the Nepali Flag (red, blue, and white). The curved question mark sign nose between those eyes is a Nepali character of one ‘१’ which means unity.

    Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple)

Nearly 2500 years old Swayambhunath Stupa is also known as ‘Monkey Temple. The literal meaning of Swayambhu is ‘self-created’ or ‘self-existent’. This is the oldest and most visited stupa by Buddhist monks from all over the world.

On the west, there is the main entrance gate from where you can glimpse three massive statues of Lord Buddha. You can go from another way (stairs) either. There are 365 stairs that will surely lead you to spiritual enlightenment with the view of the Sleeping Buddha statue.

From the front side of the Stupa, you can catch the outlook of Kathmandu city. On the western side of the Stupa, there is a small artificial fountain and pond. There is a trend of tossing a coin and if the coin is placed on a plate then it is taken as good luck.
